Murfreesboro Christmas Parade Canceled

The annual Murfreesboro Christmas Parade scheduled for December 13 has been canceled for 2020.

“It saddens me that we won’t have the parade, but with the recent uptick of COVID cases in our county, we feel that canceling the parade is the safe and responsible thing to do,” said Nate Williams, Director of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department.

The parade route is normally lined with crowds, and there are usually over 200 groups participating in the parade. Seventy-two organizations have applied this year to be in the parade.

Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing vibrant public spaces and inclusive programs delivered with visionary leadership and caring staff that engage the individual and strengthen the quality of life of our community.
