City Offices Closing Friday, Dec. 23, Monday Dec. 26, Monday Jan. 2
In observance of the Christmas holidays, most City of Murfreesboro offices will be closed Friday, December 23, and Monday, December 26, 2022.
In observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, some Murfreesboro offices and recreational facilities will also be closed Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
Solid Waste will operate a normal schedule the week of Dec. 19-23, 2022. There will be no garbage collection Monday, Dec. 26. Monday will move to Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Tuesday will move to Wednesday Dec. 28. There will also be no Solid Waste garbage collection on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023. Monday’s collection will be moved to Tuesday. Tuesday’s collection will be moved to Wednesday. Solid Waste requests that garbage carts be placed to the street the night before collection.
Murfreesboro Transit, the City’s public transportation service, will not operate Friday, Dec. 23, Saturday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 26, as well as Monday Jan. 2, 2023. Murfreesboro Transit does not run on Sundays.
Old Fort, Bloomfield Links and VA Golf Courses will be closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25 and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2023, but open normal hours on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 and New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, weather permitting. The City of Murfreesboro will cease operating the VA Golf Course on Dec. 31, 2022.
The Senior Center will be open regular hours Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26. The Senior Center will close at Noon on Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24 and be closed on Christmas Day. The Senior Center will also close at 5 p.m. New Year’s Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31 and be closed New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2023. but open regular hours, Monday Jan. 2, 2023.
Adams Tennis Facility will be open regular hours Friday, Dec. 23 and close at Noon on Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24, closed Christmas Day. Adams will operate regular hours New Year’s Eve, Saturday Dec. 31, closed New Year’s Day and open regular hours on Jan. 2, 2023.
Recreational Facilities:
McFadden Community Center, Patterson Park Community Center, Sports*Com, Wilderness Station, Cannonsburgh Village, Bradley Academy Museum, and Adams Tennis Facility will be open regular hours on Friday Dec. 23. McFadden and Cannonsburgh will be closed on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
Patterson, Sports*Com, Wilderness Station, Adams Tennis and Bradley Academy Museum will close at Noon on Christmas Eve, Saturday Dec. 24 and closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
McFadden, Patterson, Sports*Com, Wilderness Station, Cannonsburgh Village, and Bradley Museum will be open regular hours, Monday, Dec. 26.
McFadden and Cannonsburgh Village will be closed New Year’s Eve, Saturday Dec. 31. Patterson and Sports*Com will close at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve Dec. 31. All recreational facilities will be open regular hours, Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
The Main Parks & Recreation Office will be closed on Friday Dec. 23, and Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, as well as New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, New Year’s Day, and Jan. 2, 2023.
