City Offices closing for the holidays
In observance of the Christmas holidays, most City of Murfreesboro offices will be closed Monday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 25, 2018.
The Main Parks & Recreation Office, Cannonsburgh Village, and Bradley Academy will also be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
In observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, Murfreesboro offices and some recreational facilities will be closed Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
There will be no Solid Waste garbage collection on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25. Tuesday’s garbage pick-up will move to Wednesday, December 26. Garbage will be picked-up on Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24.
McFadden Community Center will be closed Saturday, December 22 through Tuesday, December 25. Patterson Park Community Center and Sports*Com will be open regular hours on Friday, December 21, Saturday, December 22, and Sunday, December 23, but closing Monday, December 24 at 5 p.m. and closed Tuesday, December 25. The Wilderness Station will be open regular hours on Friday, December 21, and Saturday, December 22, but closed Sunday, December 23 through Tuesday, December 25.
Adams Tennis Complex will be open regular hours, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, December 21 and 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturday December 22. Adams Complex will close at 2:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, and will be closed on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25.
Old Fort, Bloomfield Links and VA Golf Courses will be closed on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25.
Rover, the City’s public transportation service, will not run Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25.
The St. Clair Street Senior Center will be closed Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. The Senior Center is also normally closed on Sunday.
City business offices will resume their regular hours of operation, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.

Adams Tennis Complex will be open regular hours Saturday, December 29. On Sunday, December 30, the Complex will be open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Adams Complex is closed New Year’s Day.

Effective Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, the St. Clair Street Senior Center is pleased to announce that the Center’s hours of operation will be extended to enhance customer service. The new operating hours will be as follows:
2019 Hours
- Monday-Friday: 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
- Saturday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- Sunday 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
2018 Hours
- Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- Saturday 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
- Sunday Closed
