Counting Down to the Turkey Tee Off!
“The Child Advocacy Center is counting down to the10th Annual Turkey Tee Off,” announced Development Coordinator Katie Enzor. The golf tournament is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 8 a.m. at Cedar Crest golf course in Murfreesboro.
Here’s how you can get involved and make a difference in the lives of child abuse victims – sponsor the tournament, host a team of golfers, and bid on silent auction items. Sign up to golf or be an event sponsor at https://cacrutherford.org/events. New this year… the silent auction has gone virtual. Place your bids online at cacr.betterworld.org. You do not have to golf to bid on silent auction items!
Team up with the Child Advocacy Center at Cedar Crest Golf Course at 8 a.m. for breakfast provided by Chick-Fil-A before teeing off at 9 a.m. Have your team picture taken, put your putting skills to the test, and aim for a chance to win the $10,000 hole in one contest. After your round of golf, grab a boxed lunch from Slick Pig BBQ.
“This is more than just a great day of golf,” said Chase Patterson, tournament chairman. “It’s a chance for the community to support the important work that the Child Advocacy Center is doing on behalf of child abuse victims and their families, especially since COVID-19.” The Patterson Family is the event presenting sponsor in memory of “Pop.”
The Child Advocacy Center works as a team with the Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office to respond to child abuse cases, investigate the crime, aggressively prosecute offenders, help children heal from the trauma, and help families rebuild their shattered lives. All proceeds from the golf tournament will provide critically needed services for child abuse victims.
