Donald Ray Griffin Obituary
Mr. Donald Ray Griffin, age 79, of Antioch, TN passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, February 11, 2023. He was born in Nashville, TN to the late John and Sadie Bonor Griffin. Mr. Griffin was a 1961 graduate of Antioch High School. He worked in the printing business for Baird Ward Printing Company for the majority of his career. Mr. Griffin was known as “Chunk” at the Smyrna Raceway (where what is now the Nissan plant).
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna Griffin; children, Danny Griffin and his wife Paula, Dawn Redmond, and Teresa Gail Griffin; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and brother, Herbert Griffin and his wife Delona of Houston, TX.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, February 17, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.
