Edward Grazier, Jr. obituary

Edward Grazier, Jr., age 78 of Smyrna, TN passed away on September 26, 2021. He was born in Madison County, IL to the late Edward Grazier, Sr. and Ann T. Moore. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Doc Moore, and sister, Lois Ann Grazier.

Mr. Grazier was a devoted husband and family man. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Ann Boda Grazier; children, Gerri Shumate and husband Kevin, Brian Grazier and wife Cindy, Angela Brewer and husband David, and Scott Grazier and wife Bunny; grandchildren, Curtis Brinkley and wife Erica, Carissa Carey, Sam Brewer, Tanner Grazier, Abbey Taylor, Garrett Taylor, and Jacob Taylor; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Ed was a 28-Year Veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in Vietnam and several posts within the United States as a Security Police Supervisor and Recruiting Supervisor. In 1990, he retired at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After retirement, Ed opened Dealer Specialties of Middle Tennessee, enlisting the
help of family to create a successful automotive marketing company. He also became involved in the local chapter of GWRRA where he served multiple positions, including Region and Chapter Director. He conducted Rider Safety Courses and enjoyed raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
An avid outdoorsman, Ed enjoyed camping with his wife, family and friends. He loved to fish, play golf, and hunt. He took several hunting trips each year with his children and grandchildren, including his annual trip to Wyoming. Ed’s hobbies included bowling and playing guitar. He also loved riding his motorcycle, making
trips to Canada, Arizona, and many places in between.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Grazier’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
