Eileen Philomena Held obituary
Mrs. Eileen Philomena Held, age 84, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019. She was born in Cavan, Ireland to the late Richard and Katie Conlon Gormley. Mrs. Held was a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Prior to moving to Tennessee, she was a member of St. Ignatius Church in Hicksville, NY for over 60 years.
Mrs. Held is survived by her children, Kathy Mertz and her husband Glenn of Huntington, NY, Carol Zeeck and her husband Randy, William Held, and James Held and his wife Jennifer all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Geralyn Padilla, Timothy Mertz, Ashley Zeeck, Ryan Zeeck, Cecilia Held, and Nicholas Held; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Intemesoli of Carle Place, NY and Rose O’Reilly of Cavan, Ireland; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Heinz Held.
Services for Mrs. Held will take place in New York. Burial will take place in Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, NY.
