Community Karaoke at Ridenour’s with Janard Cross

$5Ridenour Rehearsal Studios, along with their sponsors, The Murfreesboro Pulse, Jimmy John’s, JDXL, and Revolution Health Center are excited to announce the first-ever family-friendly Community Karaoke which will take place in Ridenour’s premier event space, “The Alley” at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 24th. “ It is guaranteed to be a night of unforgettable fun where YOU will be the star of the show.
MTSU Alum Janard Cross will host the event. Cross is best known as former producer/host of Blessed Be My Countenance (MT Channel 10/MTSU), has appeared in seven films garnering him a nominee for best supporting actor by the Britain International Film Festival (The New True Charlie Wu) and has appeared on BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel, MTV’s True Life, GMC’s Dove Awards, Impact’s Bobby Jones Presents, and WeTV’s Mary Mary. He was also a semi-finalist in the Gospel Music Association’s In The Rockies. Cross was known for hosting karaoke nights at Nobody’ Grill (Murfreesboro) but upon its closing, he is excited to bring back the magic at Ridenour’s where the atmosphere is ideal and sets the stage for a perfect Friday night.
DJ Casey, Schneider Entertainment will be running the tracks which includes a catalog of 150K songs of every genre so there will be no shortage of musical selections.
“Everyone loves Janard,” commented Shane Hunt, GM, Ridenour Rehearsal Studios. “We want to provide an awesome karaoke experience using our full stage and venue. Our biggest goal is to bring the community together for a fun monthly event for all ages to celebrate the music scene in Murfreesboro.” Hunt added, “Locals can enjoy a rockin’ space with an amazing vibe to sing their hearts out.”
Multiple prizes will be handed out at the competition beginning at 9 PM including a one-song recording (grand prize), one-hour vocal lesson (door prize), and 4 free hours of rehearsal time. Ridenour has the intention of making this a recurring event with lots of new faces and the start of a new karaoke tradition in “The Boro.”
The event costs $5, and tickets can be purchased either at the door or online here. Karaoke begins at 7 p.m. and free Jimmy John’s and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase. The event is 21+ after 9 PM.
