FEMA in Rutherford Through Saturday May 13th

Until this Saturday, the FEMA Mobile Disaster Recovery Center in Rutherford is open to support individuals and households that sustained damage from the March 31 – April 1 tornadoes and severe storms.

At the Recovery Center in Rockvale, applicants can ask a FEMA specialist questions about their application, receive clarification on letters or information from FEMA, get help uploading documents, and receive help with writing an appeal. Residents that haven’t applied for FEMA assistance yet can also visit to receive in-person support in filling out their application.

Homeowners and renters may be eligible for FEMA assistance if they have underinsured or uninsured disaster-related damage and loss from the March 31 – April 1 tornadoes and severe weather and they live in one of the ten declared counties including: Rutherford, Macon, Cannon, Hardin, Haywood, Hardeman, Lewis, Tipton, McNairy, Wayne.

Some types of FEMA assistance may include temporary hotel reimbursement, rental assistance, home repair or replacement, and coverage for other disaster-related expenses, such as moving and storage, vehicle repair or replacement, childcare, or medical and dental costs.
