First Community Mortgage promotes two of its leaders
First Community Mortgage announces the promotion of two of its Retail Sales & Processing leaders, effective Oct. 1. Candra Mclaughlin has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Retail Divisions Regional Processing Managers from Vice President of Regional Processing. Scott Matuk, currently Division Vice President of Retail Sales for Middle Tennessee will assume the position of Regional Senior Vice President of Retail Sales.

Mclaughlin, a Spring Hill resident who works out of FCM’s Mt. Juliet office, is a 23-year veteran of the mortgage industry; over the last 10 years she has focused primarily on mentoring, developing, managing and leading in the area of processing, achieving consistent success throughout her tenure. She was recently included among HousingWire’s 2021 list of HW Insiders, which honors 100 operational superstars in housing who are driving their companies and clients forward. HousingWire is a leading daily newsletter for the U.S. mortgage and housing markets.
“In the two-plus years she has been with FCM, Candra has led her team with integrity, efficiency and quality,” Cundiff says. “The creation of this role, along with Candra’s exceptional abilities, enables more focus on the enhancement of our retail fulfilment processes, processing team members and, ultimately, our talented sales team.”
Matuk, a Murfreesboro resident who works in FCM’s office there, has been a highly productive member of the FCM family for 18 years, consistently performing at a high level, with an intimate knowledge of “every single thing in the retail division,” according to Dan Smith, President of First Community Mortgage.
“In his new capacity Scott will lead and manage a large portion of our retail branch managers, oversee many of our strategic retail enhancement initiatives and help foster the continued success of FCM’s retail efforts,” Smith says. “In addition to the benefits that Scott’s talent provides, the creation of this position adds increased resources dedicated specifically to our retail sales managers and team members, ultimately building on FCM’s success.”
