Ford of Murfreesboro Officer of the Month

Quickly arresting a suspect accused of stealing firearms earned honors for Patrol Deputy Scott Daniel as Ford of Murfreesboro’s Officer of the Month for March.

General Manager Andy Obeissy of Ford of Murfreesboro presented Daniel an engraved watch.

“We are proud to recognize these officers for protecting our community,” Obeissy said. “We know the vital role they play in keeping Rutherford County safe for everyone.”

Sheriff’s Sgt. Barry Poole said Daniel investigated a burglary where someone stole a rifle, handgun and ammunition from a victim on South Rucker Lane.

“Through his experience and investigative abilities, Deputy Daniel was able to locate a suspect, recover the handgun and ammunition and make an arrest in the case,” Poole said.

Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh said Daniel used his knowledge and expertise to quickly solve the case.

“Besides taking the report, Daniel took the initiative to identify and charge a suspect and recover the victim’s property,” Fitzhugh said. “I commend him for his dedication.”
