Hearty Hog’s Veterans BBQ Surprises Local Veterans

“Thank You to the Hearty Hog’s Veterans BBQ Camp” – Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office

The Hearty Hog’s Veterans BBQ Camp gifted three veterans a new BBQ smoker and accessories for Christmas.

One of those veterans is Deputy Richard Tidwell of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Tidwell, who served in the Army National Guard, is a K9 handler at the Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Tidwell was nominated for the giveaway by fellow K9 handler Sarah Blair.

The Hearty Hog’s Veterans BBQ Camp is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is “Changing Veteran’s Lives Through BBQ” by teaching veterans the therapeutic skill of cooking BBQ.
