Jan. 3, 4 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
There’s still time to register for Winter Break Camp! The Discovery Center incorporates fun, hands-on, inquiry-based learning into all of our camps. Campers are divided into different age groups each with their own camp counselor and age-appropriate lessons packed with hands-on games and activities designed to help campers learn, socialize and have fun! The theme for Winter Break Camp will be ‘Opposites Attract‘, with themes such as Fire and Ice, Light and Dark, and Realism and Abstract. Join your two favorite local museums, Adventure Science Center and Discovery Center at Murfree Spring, for a night of trivia fun. We’ll be taking over Puckett’s on the square to challenge your neurons and test your patience with the best puns this side of the Cumberland. This free event is 21+. There’s still time to catch our featured exhibit, Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog! Hop aboard the Birdwell Island ferry and journey to the world of Clifford, America’s beloved big red dog. Inspired by Scholastic’s top-rated TV show Clifford the Big Red Dog on PBS Kids, the exhibit offers numerous immersive ‘paws-on’ adventures that reinforce Clifford‘s big ideas. Birthday celebrations at Discovery Center are a piece of cake! For a limited time, guests can experience our Adventures with Clifford exhibit in an all-new way at their very own signature party! This exclusive event will include a meet and greet with Clifford the Big Red Dog himself, a make-your-own Clifford ears craft, and participate in a hands-on science activity.
