Jeffrey “Jeff” Phillip Cushman obituary

Mr. Jeffrey “Jeff” Phillip Cushman, age 63, of Stevensville, MI went to be with this Lord and Savior December 16, 2021. He was born in Murfreesboro, TN to Donald J. and Marjorie Cushman. Jeff was a 1977 graduate of Oakland High School. He was a Master Mason of the Lee Center Masonic Lodge and member of the CrossRoads Church. Jeff was a self-proclaimed hippy, lover of good music, fine artist, and the freest spirit the world has ever seen. He enjoyed old W.C. Fields movies and reading novels about World War II in which his father had proudly served. Jeff lived his life to the fullest and was a kindhearted friend to those who knew him. He enjoyed using his artistic talents to serve his community and in many church dramas.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary Barbara Cushman; children, Jamie (Carlos) Russin, Jeremy Cushman, Jason Cushman, Victoria Frishman, Christopher Ray, Scott Ray, and Jennifer Ray (Joseph) Berger; grandchildren, Taylor, Hayley, Nicholas, Kylie, Journey, Joseph, Jr., Caleb Jeffrey, Angel, and Dylan; great-grandson, Bentley; mother, Marjorie Cushman; siblings, Donna Lee (Ken) Barnes, Jack (Linda) Cushman, and Jill (Ruphus) Baker; and numerous nieces, nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald J. Cushman.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 22, 2021 from 12:00noon until 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 22, 2021 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial of his cremated remains will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Jeff was not a formal person and there is no reason to start now, please wear your finest flannel and jeans.
