Jeremy Brooks obituary
Jeremy E. Brooks, 35, of Lakeland, passed away on February 24, 2019 at Osceola Regional Medical Center due to injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. He was born on July 1, 1983 to Thomas and Patricia (Garthwaite) Brooks in Keokuk, IA.
He had a great love for his country and served 12 years as a combat veteran and United States Marine. He also had an immense love for all his Orange County Chapter brothers. MFFM. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree at Keiser University in Lakeland where he met his great friend and mentor, Karen Steverson. Jeremy was currently enrolled at Florida A&M University College of Law.
Jeremy is survived by his 2 daughters, Emberlynn and Emily of Smith Station, Alabama, his partner Melissa Daugherty of Mulberry, FL, his mother, Patricia Ryan, Step-Father Jimmy Leonard of Castalian Springs, TN, his sister, Randi Brooks of Las Vegas, Nevada, his brother TJ Brooks, sister-in-law Monica Brooks, nephews, Garrett and Ethan Brooks, and nieces Denver, Caitlyn, and Anna Brooks of Trezevant, TN. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be after 11AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. www.woodfinchapel.com
