La Vergne’s Future Downtown Brings Big Retail Growth Coming to Murfreesboro Road

Big changes are happening along Murfreesboro Road in La Vergne, Tennessee.

In this update, we take a closer look at the Uptown La Vergne development, an area city leaders believe could eventually become part of La Vergne’s future downtown district.

The development already includes Aldi, Fifth Third Bank, 7 Brew, Chipotle and Panda Express, with additional parcels still waiting to be announced. Nearby, Chase Bank and Starbucks are also planning new locations.

City leaders say the area sees more than 60,000 vehicles pass by each day, making it an increasingly important retail corridor.

La Vergne’s Industrial Development Board has also purchased nearly 10 acres nearby for future retail development. Early interest has included entertainment concepts, restaurants and junior anchor retailers.

Could this area eventually become La Vergne’s new downtown? There is a lot more growth still to come.
