Light Up the Night for Child Abuse Victims

Join the Child Advocacy Center for the party of the season, Light Up the Night, and help bring to light the issue of child abuse.

The inaugural Light Up the Night party will be held at Gateway Island in Murfreesboro on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.  Dance under the stars, mix and mingle, and enjoy an evening that will benefit a great cause, the Child Advocacy Center of Rutherford and Cannon Counties.

Patrons are asked to wear white to help “Light Up the Night”.  Tickets are $110 per couple or $60 per individual.  Heavy appetizers from Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q and two complimentary drinks are included with each ticket.  A cash bar provided by Old Fort Liquor will be available, featuring the evening’s signature cocktail White Sangria.

Tickets are available for purchase at www.cacrutherford.org.  Local band Zone Status will have patrons dancing the night away and photographer Cynthia Jones StudioC Photography will capture every moment!

Proceeds from the event will support critically needed services to child abuse victims and Darkness to Light trainings that educate parents, grandparents, and professionals how to protect children from child sexual abuse.  In the last 17 years, the Child Protective Investigative Team, consisting of the Child Advocacy Center, Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office have worked together to investigate and prosecute over 13,500 child abuse cases, assisted over 19,400 individuals, and trained over 8,100 adults how to protect children from child sexual abuse.

Light Up the Night is presented by F&M Bank.  Platinum sponsors include Emergency Physicians of Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, Family Wealth Management LLC, and Redstone Federal Credit Union.  Gold sponsors include Bell Jewelers, Murfreesboro Medical Center Pediatrics, Roscoe Brown, Rick & Melissa Johnson, and Bill & Lucy Whitesell.
