Margaret Owens Keach obituary

Margaret Owens Keach earned her heavenly wings and soared away from us early Wednesday morning, August 18, 2021. Margaret was the daughter of the late Wesley Dennis and Mary Carter Owens. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Dorris Keach; and daughter, Sherryl Keach Horton. Margaret is survived her son, Tim and his wife Pam of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Brooke Horton, Katy Keach, Bryan Keach , John Keach and Margaret Ann Keach; many great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews Randy, Dennis, Jim and Marshal Mullins, Mark Biggs, Mary Beth Belveal, and Janet Cartwright. Margaret was a wonderful, sweet, kind, and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who had the pleasure to be a part of her life. Her sweet gentle spirit and warm smile touched many lives throughout her years, and she was the type of person you wanted to look up to and model yourself after. She was an excellent cook, and it was always a treat to be the recipient of one of her home-made dishes, breads, or sweets. She was a talented seamstress who loved to share the products of her creativity. She was passionate about watching the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team play and was faithful in watching them even while living in Florida and Tennessee. With a lovely voice and a heart to serve her God, she enjoyed singing in the choir at church. She made lifelong friends wherever she traveled and always looked forward to visiting her South Dakota friends each year on the family’s annual pheasant hunting trip. She also remained faithful to her friends she made with the Homemakers Club, Christian Women’s Group and her Sunday School classes at Robards Baptist Church and First Baptist Church even after she moved from Robards, KY. During her time living in Venice, FL she thrived among dear friends in the Stoneybrook community playing games, shopping, lunching and being active with any activity that came along. Once at Creekside Assisted Living in Murfreesboro, TN she did not slow down or diminish her involvement with the people around her. She genuinely cared for people and it showed. She loved talking about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sharing their latest accomplishments with others. There are so many things that could be said about Margaret and her sweet gentle spirit but we all know there is a bright and shiny new angel in heaven today. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her on this earth. Visitation will be at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the chapel service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Henderson, Kentucky at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 4:00 p.m..
