Martha Evelyn Thompson Obituary
Mrs. Martha Evelyn Thompson, age 89, of Smyrna, TN passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019. She was born in Nashville, TN to the late Thomas M. and Lucille McMinn Jones. Mrs. Thompson was a bookkeeper most recently for Nashville Steel. She was a member of Grandview Baptist in Nashville. Mrs. Thompson loved taking care of everyone especially her family. She made sure everyone had something to eat.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter, Sharon Anderson and her husband Glen of Antioch, TN; grandson, Kenneth William Anderson and his wife Amy of LaVergne, TN; great-grandchildren, Kristen Brodie and her husband John of Murfreesboro, TN; Kala Anderson of Smyrna, and Meagan Anderson of McMinnville, TN; great-great-grandchildren, Sophia Anderson, Dean Parrott, and Katie Nelson; sister, Helen Ferrell of Smyrna; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Blair Thompson, and siblings, Peggy Bowling, Grady Jones, and Ella Parker.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 13, 2019 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be Friday, December 13, 2019 11:00am at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will take place Friday, December at 2:00pm at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
