Mary Allene Letner obituary

Mary Allene Letner, age 98 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021. A native of Coffee County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Lee Greenbriar and Allie D. Blackburn Lowhorn. Mrs. Letner was also preceded in death by her husbands, Burnice Allen and Willis Letner, an infant daughter, Regina Fae Allen, a stepson, Charles Letner, six brothers, and three sisters.

Mrs. Letner is survived by her son, Wayne Allen and his wife Anita of Murfreesboro, TN; four stepdaughters, Virginia McMains of Marlin, TX, Carol Letner of Kalamazoo, MI, Nancy Baburek and her husband Steve of Portage, IN, and Gloria Letner of Smyrna, TN; sisters, Emma Jean Haslett of Murfreesboro, TN and Virginia Sparacino of Columbia, TN; two grandchildren, Brian Allen of Crown Point, IN and Jennifer Allen of Murfreesboro, TN; nine step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several step great-grandchildren and several step great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Centerpointe Apostolic Church, Murfreesboro, TN. A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, following the visitation at the church with Pastor Kevin Allen officiating.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 18, 2021, at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schereville, IN.

Mrs. Letner, a faithful prayer warrior and member of Centerpointe Apostolic Church, loved God, family, friends, and cooking.
