Massive Sewart’s Landing Development Update in Smyrna
We’ve got a HUGE update out of Smyrna, Tennessee.
In this video, we take you on-site at Sewart’s Landing, one of the biggest mixed-use developments coming to Middle Tennessee, located right off Sam Ridley Parkway. This project has been decades in the making and is finally coming to life in a big way.
We’re joined by Mayor Mary Esther Reed, developer Land Elliott with Equitable Property Company and Matt Looney with Ancore Constructors to break down everything you need to know.
Here’s what’s coming to Sewart’s Landing:
- 268 apartment units
- 240 hotel rooms across two hotels
- 280,000 square feet of retail space
- Up to 400,000 square feet of additional office or retail space
- 12 acres of green space with an amphitheater and walking areas
This development is designed to be a true live, work, and play destination with a strong focus on walkability and community connection.
You’ll also find some major names and exciting additions, including:
- Sprouts Farmers Market
- Wawa
- Jonathan’s Sports Bar
- City Barbecue
- A new drive-thru coffee concept
- Multiple retail and healthcare tenants
One of the most unique aspects of Sewart’s Landing is how it honors Smyrna’s history. The development will feature a full-scale P-51 aircraft replica, murals, and a timeline highlighting the legacy of Sewart Air Force Base.
We also cover:
- Construction timelines and what’s opening first
- Traffic improvements and new access points off Sam Ridley Parkway
- Future expansion phases
- Nearby growth, including the upcoming Smyrna Senior Center
This project is expected to bring major economic impact to the area while helping support local infrastructure and keeping property taxes lower for residents.
If you live in Smyrna, Murfreesboro, or anywhere in Rutherford County, this is a development you’ll definitely want to keep your eye on.
