May All Babies Thrive: Celebrating Advocacy for Prenatal to Three Policies and Investing inOur Community’s Future
Thriving Together TN joins communities across the country this May in recognizing May All Babies Thrive Month, a time to celebrate the importance of early childhood development and recognize our commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive from their start.
The earliest years of a child’s life are among the most critical for healthy development. Research consistently shows that investments in prenatal to three initiatives lead to stronger families, healthier communities, and better long-term outcomes—from improved educational achievement to reduced healthcare costs and stronger economic stability.
Yet, despite what we know, too many families continue to face barriers to accessing the support and resources needed to help their children succeed. These disparities make it more important than ever to advocate for policies and programs that prioritize equity and give every child the best possible start in life.
Throughout Tennessee and across the nation, advocates, policymakers, and community leaders are making meaningful progress by expanding access to maternal and child health supports, early intervention services, and family-centered resources. These efforts are changing lives—but there is still much work to do.
“At Thriving Together TN, we believe every baby deserves the opportunity to grow, develop, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment,” said Amy Jordan, Executive Director . “May All Babies Thrive Month is both a celebration and a call to action—reminding us that the work we do today shapes the future for generations to come.”
As part of that commitment, Thriving Together TN invites the community to support our mission through our upcoming annual fundraiser, Stars on the Porch, on August 27th. The event brings together supporters, advocates, and community members to celebrate our shared commitment to strengthening families and protecting children. Proceeds from the event help fund programs and services that directly support vulnerable children and families in our community.
Together, we can create a future where every child—regardless of race, income, or zip code—has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
No more maybes for our babies. Their future depends on it.
