Metro Diner Opens First Tennessee Location in Murfreesboro
A warm welcome and indulgent comfort foods are just some of the memorable moments that guests will experience as they walk through the doors of Tennessee’s first Metro Diner in Murfreesboro on Tuesday, December 11. Just ask Guy Fieri who featured the diner in an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The 4,308-sq. ft. eatery will open at 711 N. Thompson Lane featuring a menu of everyone’s favorite diner classics. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner all day, the diner will indulge the taste buds with new twists on traditional dishes and sip on beer, wine, mimosas and Bloody Marys.
“Guests feel at home when they come to Metro Diner because we welcome them as if they are coming to our own house,” said Murfreesboro Metro Diner Managing Partner Dave Bowes. “Metro Diner is known as the place where ‘the locals eat’ and we hope to be the new go-to destination where our Murfreesboro diners turn into regulars.”
Metro Diner features daily blackboard specials with quality ingredients and a made-from-scratch kitchen that also serves gluten-friendly options. Dishes include comfort food favorites like Fried Chicken & Waffles, the diner’s acclaimed Meatloaf Plate and new dinner menu items including Chicken Parmesan and the Pulled Pork Mac Stack – a half-pound of BBQ pulled pork piled over creamy macaroni & cheese and a cheddar cornbread waffle topped with maple butter. Large portion sizes enable guests to enjoy a delicious meal at a great value, with most dishes priced under $15.
The Murfreesboro community is invited to celebrate the arrival of Metro Diner during special pre-opening charity events. All donations will benefit The Journey Home Project on Saturday, Dec. 8, whose mission is to connect donors to veterans’ organizations in Middle Tennessee. On Sunday, Dec. 9, all donations will benefit Operation Song, whose mission is to empower veterans, active duty military and their families to tell their stories through the process of songwriting. Guests who provide a donation will receive a sneak peek of the new eatery and enjoy Metro Diner favorites. Reservations can be made for the fundraisers from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by calling the diner reservation line at (615) 956-2903.
The diner will feature indoor seating for 104 guests, covered outdoor seating for 16 guests and will be open from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
