MFRD Driver Promoted to Captain

Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) Interim Fire Chief Mark McCluskey announces the promotion of Alvin Brandon to the rank of captain.

Brandon started his career with the department as a firefighter in Oct. 1997. He was promoted to driver in 2004. Brandon will begin his new role as captain on Jan. 29.

McCluskey presented Brandon with his captain’s badge at the fire administration building on Wednesday.

“We are proud to promote Alvin Brandon to the position of Captain here at MFRD,” McCluskey said. “We are sure that Captain Brandon will have a great and successful career in his new position. Congratulations to you.”

Brandon replaces Captain Wade Williams who retired Thursday, Jan. 26.
