MFRD Honors Employees at 7th Annual Years of Service Awards Presentation

Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department honored several employees at the 7th Annual Years of Service Awards Presentation Saturday, May 13 at Patterson Park Community Center.

Honorees were as follows (in order of seniority):

5 Years: Firefighter John Fisher, Firefighter Duane O’Donnell, Firefighter Jamie Layhew, Engineer Chad Davis, Firefighter Ashley McGriff, Firefighter Matthew Roeger, Firefighter Kevin Defeo, Firefighter Ryan Daniel, Firefighter Justin McCraven, Firefighter Adam C. Brown, and Firefighter Matthew Twomey

10 Years: Administrative Aide II/Public Information Officer Ashley McDonald, Firefighter Taylor Lasseter, Firefighter Jeremiah Spivey, Engineer Andy Smithson, Firefighter Lucas Dearden, Firefighter Britt Gammon, Engineer Kevin Leonard, Firefighter Dustin Liddell, and Engineer Wesley Slager

15 Years: Medical Training Coordinator Jeffrey Wright

20 Years: Engineer Richard Crick, Captain Raymond Smith, Engineer Alvin Brandon, Captain Joshua Oliver, Captain/Shift Inspector Jason Hayes, Captain Brian Creager, and Captain Jamie Bigelow

30 Years: Deputy Chief Roger Toombs

40 Years: Battalion Chief Dale Maynard

All employees received uniform pins with their respective years of service. Employees with 10 and 15 years of service received MFRD challenge coins engraved with their corresponding years. Employees with 20 and 30 years of service received awards engraved with their names and years of service. Battalion Chief Maynard, the only employee in the 40 years of service category, was presented with a personally engraved clock.

“I am very proud of the men and women in our department that serve the citizens and visitors to Murfreesboro,” said Fire Rescue Chief Mark Foulks. “We have such a wonderful group of professional, dedicated, and skilled individuals. Our community is very fortunate.”
