MFRD Responds to Fire at 438 E State Street
Murfreesboro Fire Rescue’s Ladder 1, Engines 1 and 3, and Rescues 7 and 8 responded to a house fire at 438 E State Street around 9:45 Saturday morning.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke at the back of the home. The fire was discovered in the back, right bedroom and firefighters were able to gain control and extinguish it quickly.
The cause is unknown at this time. The Fire Marshal’s Office will conduct a routine investigation.
A total of two residents were displaced, and the American Red Cross was called for assistance.
