MFRD Responds to Townhouse Fire
Just after 5:30 pm, Murfreesboro firefighters from District 1, District 8, Engine 3 and Rescue 2 responded to a reported fire at the Aspen Heights Murfreesboro Apartments on Old Castle Drive.
When the first companies arrived, they found flames and heavy smoke in the downstairs of a two-story apartment. The fire was quickly brought under control and one apartment suffered moderate damage. Three residents have been displaced. An adjoining townhouse had only minor smoke due to the fire.
There were no injuries and the Fire Marshal’s Office responded to conduct a routine investigation into the cause.
