Michelle Graham obituary

Michelle “Shelly” Ellen Delene Graham, age 73, passed away on October 10, 2018, surrounded by her family. Ms. Graham was born and raised in Detroit, MI, and moved to Tennessee in 1982. She worked at Middle Tennessee State University, starting as a Secretary in the Department of Economics and Finance, and then working as executive aide to the dean of the College of Mass Communication till her retirement in December 2007. Ms. Graham was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, where she played in the bell choir and served Wednesday night dinners. She was involved in several community organizations over the years, including Linebaugh Library, Uncle Dave Macon Days, Oaklands Mansion, Civitan Club, and a local dulcimer players group.

Ms. Graham is survived by her two daughters, Jenness Delene Graham Schuhmann with husband Alex of Nashville and Dr. Stacey Rebecca Graham of Murfreesboro, and her granddaughter, Autumn Irene Wilson. She was also survived by her sister, Kristine Delene of Murfreesboro; brother, Jerome Delene and wife Nancy of Oak Ridge, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ms. Graham was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Geneva Kislinger Delene, and a brother, David Delene.

Celebration of life service will be 2PM Friday October 19, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church Murfreesboro. Dr. John Hinkle will officiate. Reception will follow the service. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements www.woodfinchapel.com.
