Missing person found near Cut Off Road

Around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, RCFR was requested by RCSO to assist with the search of a missing person in the area of Cut Off Road. RCSO searched the streets with K-9s, while RCFR used drones with thermal cameras to identify any “heat signatures” that might be useful in locating the person. Due to the nighttime hazards and freezing temps, officials contacted THP to request their helicopter.

Fortunately, the missing person was found safely, after knocking on the door of a nearby homeowner. The homeowner recognized that the person met the description of the missing person and reported it.

RCEMS responded to assess the person.
