MTSU Alumni Relations Plans ‘Summer of Fun’ Activities, Special Discounts
The Middle Tennessee State University Alumni Association is planning a summer of fun for alumni filled with discounts and special events across Nashville and beyond.
From baseball games to summer pickleball clinics, museum visits to arena football nights, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and connect with fellow alumni.

“We’ve lined up some great activities for our alumni and friends and their families,” said Rachel Helms, MTSU Alumni Relations assistant director. “If you purchase one of our discounted tickets to the Atlanta Braves game on July 22, you are helping to directly support our Alumni Legacy Scholarship. And we’re really excited about the Pickleball clinics at the MTSU Recreation Center.”
Helms credited Beth Dye, assistant director in MTSU Alumni Relations, for working with the Murfreesboro Pickleball Association to line up excellent instructors.
“We expect registration to fill up quickly, so be sure to sign up as soon as you can,” said Helms.
Events and details:
• True Blue Night at the Nashville Sounds!, 6:35 p.m. Thursday, June 6, First Horizon Park. Discounted tickets available for MTSU alumni as the Sounds take on the Louisville Bats. The first 150 attendees will receive complimentary baseball hats.
• Evening of MTSU Alumni and Mixology at Morning Glory Orchard, 7– 9 p.m. Friday, June 14, Morning Glory Orchard, Nolensville. Must be 21 and over. Cost is $50 per person. Join for a delightful evening of ciders, cocktails, food pairings, and mixology lessons.
• Nashville Superspeedway’s NASCAR Weekend, June 28-30. MTSU alumni get 20% off tickets to the NASCAR event weekend. Use promo code “MTSU.” This offer is good through June 15.
• MTSU Alumni Pickleball Summer Clinics, 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 13, MTSU Recreation Center, 1848 Blue Raider Drive. Registration is $18 per person and limited to 28 spots per clinic. The clinic will be led by experienced members of the Murfreesboro Pickleball Association. You must be at least 18 years old to register.
• Welcome MTSU Alumni to Truist Park!, 7:30 p.m. EST Monday, July 22, Truist Park, Atlanta, as the home team Atlanta Braves battle the Cincinnati Reds. Tickets for $35 in section 146. Offer ends on July 8 at 11:59 p.m. EST. A portion of every ticket sold will support the MTSU Alumni Legacy Scholarship.
• Nashville Kats-MTSU Alumni Discount. Use promo code “GOKATS” for $5 off any ticket to Nashville Kats arena football games.

• National Museum of African American Music Discount. MTSU alumni receive 17% off VIP tickets. Tickets valid for entry up to a year from the date of purchase.
