MTSU Celebrates Constitution Day With Campus Reading and Supreme Court Discussion
MTSU marked Constitution Day with a week of events led by the American Democracy Project, giving students, faculty and staff an opportunity to read, discuss and reflect on one of the nation’s founding documents.
The September 17 observance included a full reading of the U.S. Constitution from beginning to end, along with a public discussion featuring Georgetown Law Professor Cheryl Cashin. Cashin joined MTSU students for a conversation about the Supreme Court, the Constitution and the importance of civic participation.
The annual event encourages the campus community to take a closer look at the Constitution, its history and the role it continues to play in American democracy.
