MTSU Expands True Blue Tour with Stops in Cookeville and Gallatin

Middle Tennessee State University is hitting the road for its annual True Blue Tour, visiting 14 cities for 15 events this fall to recruit future Blue Raiders. For the first time, the tour will make stops in Cookeville (Sept. 18) and Gallatin (Oct. 23), expanding the university’s outreach across Middle Tennessee.

Led by President Sidney A. McPhee, the admissions team, deans, and advisors will meet with prospective students and families at 6 p.m. receptions, as well as with school counselors and community college staff at 12:30 p.m. luncheons in most cities.

Last year, MTSU awarded $1.18 million in scholarships during the tour, many of which were accepted by students now enrolled on campus.

This year’s tour kicks off Sept. 16 in Shelbyville and includes stops from Memphis to Johnson City, with two Nashville events on Sept. 29 and Oct. 28.

All events are free, and while walk-ups are welcome, the university encourages RSVPs at mtsu.edu/rsvp.

For those wanting a closer look at campus life, MTSU will host True Blue Preview Days on Sept. 13, Nov. 1, and Feb. 28, 2026, as well as daily campus tours.
