MTSU Gives Students Hands-On Look at Careers in the Concrete Industry

More than 250 middle and high school students recently visited MTSU for the Concrete Experience event hosted by the university’s Concrete Industry Management program. Students rotated through hands-on stations featuring welding, masonry, heavy equipment, power tools, and concrete demonstrations while learning about the many career paths available in the construction and concrete industry.

Current students, alumni, and industry professionals helped guide the experience, giving attendees a firsthand look at what a future in the field could look like. Organizers say the goal is to expose students to opportunities early and inspire the next generation of industry leaders.
