MTSU Students Gain Real World Media Experience at Bonnaroo 2026
For the 10th year, students from Middle Tennessee State University’s College of Media and Entertainment are taking their education beyond the classroom and into one of the nation’s biggest music festivals.
At Bonnaroo, MTSU students gain hands-on experience in journalism, photography, audio production, and live video broadcasting while working alongside industry professionals. Using MTSU’s mobile production lab, students help create live broadcasts for Hulu, report on festival activities, capture professional photography, and mix audio for performances.
The unique partnership gives students real-world experience in a fast-paced environment where they learn to adapt, solve problems, and develop skills that prepare them for careers in the media and entertainment industry.
Hear from students and faculty about what makes the Bonnaroo experience such a valuable opportunity and why this program continues to set MTSU apart.
