MTSU Students Take a Break from Midterms at De-Stress with Engage Event

Midterms can be one of the most stressful times of the semester, but students at Middle Tennessee State University recently had a chance to slow down and recharge.

The Engage program hosted its “De-Stress with Engage” event inside the Keathley University Center, giving students a place to relax between classes. The event featured simple crafts like bracelet making and perler beads, along with snacks and a welcoming environment where students could spend time with friends.

Organizers say the goal was to create an easy, low-pressure space where students could step away from their academic workload and just enjoy being around others. By keeping activities simple and accessible, students could drop in, make something fun, grab a snack, and take a mental break during a busy week.

Events like this are designed to strengthen the sense of community on campus while reminding students that it is important to slow down, connect with others, and recharge.

Student organizers say the value of college goes beyond the classroom, and opportunities like De-Stress with Engage help students build friendships and feel more connected to the MTSU community.
