Oakland H.S. teacher suspended amid criminal investigation
An Oakland High School teacher has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.
According to Don Odom, Director of Schools, the investigation involving Soffiantino stems from allegations of inappropriate contact with a student. He was suspended April 17.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office had no comment about the investigation.
According to the school’s website, Soffiantino is a social studies teacher and coach.
