The Original Just Love Coffee Cafe in Murfreesboro Celebrates 10 Years of Brewing Love
Favorite Murfreesboro coffee shop celebrates a decade of embracing specialty coffee, waffled entrees, and love for the local community.
Longtime coffee shop turned fast-casual cafe is throwing a weeklong party celebrating ten years as one of Murfreesboro’s favorite coffee destinations. The kickoff for the celebration starts Thursday, November 11, and continues through Saturday, November 20. The festivities include events with Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, live music, and specials throughout each day.
When Rob Webb founded Just Love Coffee Roasters, he started it as an e-commerce business to help adoptive families going through a similar adoption journey as he and his wife, Emily, in 2009. “I had no intention of starting a coffee shop, but as soon people in the community learned we were roasting coffee, they came in asking for a cup of coffee.” Rob recounts. “My roast master, Jason Smith, and I were surprised by how many people were coming into where we were roasting to ask if we would brew them a cup of coffee. That’s when we decided to set up a small bar and let people name their price for their coffee.” Word (and the smell of freshly roasted coffee) spread throughout the community about the location. It was clear Rob needed to build a proper coffee bar to serve the growing number of customers. So, in November of 2011, Rob reopened the doors to the roasting facility as a roastery/coffee shop located at 129 MTCS Drive. Rob and his team quickly realized they had a new avenue to positively impact the lives of others in the community.
The shop was rebranded as Just Love Coffee Cafe, adding a kitchen to offer a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, winning several awards as a Murfreesboro favorite. In addition, the location served as the springboard for the brand’s expansion into franchising with over 20 locations currently operating or in various stages of opening across ten states with two additional cafes in Murfreesboro on Old Fort Parkway and at The Fountains of Gateway on Medical Center Parkway.
The shop has recently undergone a remodel, adding new features to enhance its guests’ experience. With its longstanding mission to be a ‘catalyst for love’ in the community, the shop continues to see new faces come into the shop to connect with friends, spend time with family, enjoy friendly business meetings, or study.
“I started the brand as a way to help others through an online model,” Rob notes. “However, it’s the love the Murfreesboro community has given the original location that has allowed us to make an impact in communities across the country.” The Murfreesboro native added, “I am grateful to Murfreesboro for making an impact on me, my family, and the lives we’ve been able to touch through the shop. This celebration is as much about Murfreesboro as it is about the shop.”
