Chamber names Patrick Cammack to top economic development post
The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce has named Patrick Cammack as the new senior vice president of economic development.
In this role, Cammack will be responsible for fulfilling the mission of the economic development arm of the Chamber, which is to create high wage jobs, diversify the economic base and enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Rutherford County through the recruitment of corporate and regional headquarter companies, high-tech manufacturing, research and development, and supporting office developments.
“Patrick’s wide range of economic development experience will set him up to do great things in Rutherford County,” said Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce President Paul Latture. “His energy is contagious and he is eager to build upon our momentum to continue moving our community forward.”
Cammack, a Murfreesboro resident, comes to the Rutherford County Chamber from Williamson, Inc., where he served as economic development director and led expansion and recruitment projects for the county. Prior to that, he was a business development consultant with the State of Tennessee’s Department of Economic & Community Development. Additional career highlights include working in the Department of Small Business Services for the City of New York and as a strategic research analyst for Toyota Motor North America.
Cammack will officially start on July 30. He replaces Brian Hercules, who will serve as the town manager for Smyrna.
The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, which includes the Convention & Visitors Bureau, Destination Rutherford, Economic Development, and Workforce Development, seeks to promote economic development and a quality of life to benefit all residents of Rutherford County.
