Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in Lascassas Pike crash

The Murfreesboro Police Department's Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) is investigating a serious injury crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian on Monday, Aug. 31.

A 36-year-old man attempted to cross Lascassas Pike near the rear entrance of Burger King when two pickup trucks struck him at approximately 9:24 p.m., according to crash scene investigators.

Emergency personnel from the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services treated the pedestrian at the scene. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center by helicopter. The man is in critical but stable condition.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and investigators may file charges.

FACT investigates not only fatal crashes but also serious injury crashes, ensuring a thorough and comprehensive examination of each incident.
