Police looking for person in $10K THC product theft at Murfreesboro vape shop

Murfreesboro police detectives are searching for a man who stole about $10,000 worth of THC products from a vape store on South Church Street over the weekend.

Officers responded to Galaxy Vape around 3:55 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 after an unidentified man reportedly threatened a store clerk and filled a backpack with jars of THC-A products before leaving.

Officers, with support from the department’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drone team) and a Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, searched the area but were unable to find the theft suspect.

The man wore a ski mask, a black hoodie, black sweatpants and slippers.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to contact Detective Adam Claiborne at 629-201-5550.

The investigation remains active.
