Randy Allen announces candidacy for Rutherford County Mayor
Randy Allen recently announced his plans to enter the 2026 race for Rutherford County Mayor. Allen is a strategic leader with considerable experience in business, government and proven service to our community. He currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer for the Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity. Allen oversees daily operations and helps ensure that the organization provides “a hand-up, not a handout” to families in our county. He is also the current Chair of the Rutherford County Wellness Council and the Past President of the Murfreesboro Rotary Club, the oldest civic organization in the county. Allen graduated Leadership Rutherford in 2016.
Regarding the issues that matter most to Rutherford County residents, Allen believes first and foremost in restoring trust, integrity and professionalism back to Rutherford County leadership. He ranks quality of life, fiscal responsibility and good jobs among his top priorities. “In my experience, these are critical factors, not partisan issues. I’m running as a Republican to bring servant leadership to the mayor’s office and empower officials to act on these concerns. I’ve spent my career bringing people together to improve our community, and I look forward to continuing this effort as Rutherford County’s next Mayor,” Allen said.
Allen’s career has spanned several sectors that include retail, manufacturing, management, small business job creation, workforce development and nonprofit governance. In each of these roles, he has provided trusted leadership and real-world experience to assist organizations in improving efficiency, reducing expenses and increasing their missions’ impact. He has made a career of working with diverse partners and getting things done! “I believe that putting Rutherford County citizens in a position to be successful, with a renewed focus on integrity, truth, and transparency are paramount to finding positive solutions for our long-term success,” Allen continued.
Allen is a life-long conservative with deep roots in Rutherford County. He and wife Cynthia are both alumni of MTSU, where she works, providing community education to protect local streams and water quality in our community. In addition, she currently serves as President of the Stones River Watershed Association. Both are members of several other local organizations and are deeply invested in our community, serving with faith-driven values. “Cynthia and I are committed to the success of Rutherford County and its citizens, and we look forward to working with everyone to find positive solutions to address the issues facing citizens that live and work here,” Allen said. Randy appreciates your support and is excited to meet and listen to citizens as he campaigns throughout our community.
Early voting in the Republican primary begins April 15, and election day is May 5.
