RCFR Responds to Fire at Bill Rice Ranch

Rutherford County Fire Rescue (RCFR) responded to a commercial fire at the Bill Rice Ranch located at 627 Bill Rice Road around 9:23 a.m. Monday morning.

On arrival, crews discovered a 10,000 square feet steel building with heavy smoke billowing from the roof. Murfreesboro Fire Rescue was called for ladder and personnel support.

Fortunately the building, used mostly for classrooms and administrative offices, was empty at the time. Fire crews ran into heavy smoke in fire inside of the building but were able to extinguish the fire and contain it to the structure.

The Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting a routine investigation into the cause of the fire.
