Rutherford County Schools’ STEM Expo set for Tuesday evening
Annual event will feature student inventions and presentations competing for top recognition and awards
After being forced to cancel in 2020 because of the pandemic, Rutherford County Schools is excited to once again hold the RCS STEM Expo. The event takes place tomorrow, Tuesday, March 22, at Lane Agri-Park in Murfreesboro, 315 John Rice Boulevard.
The RCS STEM Expo is a county-wide competition where middle and high school students present original research that has developed from a complex question, problem, or challenge in the following areas:
- STEM Research: Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Biotechnology or Medical Veterinary Medicine
- Engineering: Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, Aerospace, Automotive, Environmental, Biomedical, Chemical or Electrical
- Technology: Computer programming, games, designing application or designing websites
- Agricultural STEM: Farming and Animal Husbandry
Students will begin setting up their presentations at 4 p.m. and judging will be held from 5:30-7 p.m.
