SAINT THOMAS HICKMAN PRESIDENT AND CEO JACK KELLER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Today Jack Keller, president and CEO of Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital, announced his retirement. Keller has served in this role since June 1993, and through this position he led the charge in qualifying Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital as the first critical access facility in Tennessee. Keller’s retirement is effective December 22, 2017.
“During his tenure, Jack has remained steadfast in his passion for healthcare and bringing needed services to the residents of Centerville and Hickman County,” said Gordon Ferguson, CEO of Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital and President of Saint Thomas Health Regional Hospitals. “Jack was a committed leader who made great contributions to Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital for more than two decades, and he will be greatly missed.”
Upon Keller’s retirement, Kevin Campbell will lead Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital as Chief Administrative Officer. Saint Thomas Health is part of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic and nonprofit health system.
Campbell has worked for Saint Thomas Health in a number of capacities for more than 20 years. Campbell currently serves as assistant administrator for Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital and Hickman Community Nursing Home. Campbell has served in his current role since September 2015, and his responsibilities include providing daily oversight and operational strategy throughout Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital and the nursing home facility.
Campbell is licensed in the state of Tennessee by the Department of Health Division of Health Licensure as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and a Licensed Master Social Worker. He currently serves on the Hickman County Economic and Community Development Board and is an educator with the Leadership Hickman Program.

Before joining Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital in 1997, formerly known as Hickman County Hospital, Campbell served as a medical social worker for Hickman Community Home Care and Hospice. He holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Alabama; a Master of Science in Sociology from the University of Mississippi; and a Master of Science in Social Work Administration from the University of Tennessee.
Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital is a critical access hospital with emergency services and complete ancillary services, a long-term care nursing facility, outpatient behavioral health program, a provider-based rural health clinic and a separately incorporated home care agency. Specialties offered at Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital currently include gastroenterology and cardiology.
