Murfreesboro Celebrates New Years Day Baby

Few new years have been as eagerly awaited as 2021, so cutie Christopher “Tripp” Michael Richey III understandably made an early-morning arrival today!

Tripp was born at 2:35 AM at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown, making him the hospital and health system’s first newborn of the year. The Tennessee Titans and Pinnacle Financial Partners joined Ascension Saint Thomas in celebrating Tripp’s arrival by graciously gifting his family with $1000 towards a savings account at Pinnacle Financial Partners. Ascension Saint Thomas greatly appreciates the generosity of these community partners.

Tripp, pictured in 2 photos below, has been named the first-ever “Tiny Titan.” He is 20 inches long and weighs 8 pounds and 11 ounces. Tripp’s mom Chrissy and dad Chris call Nashville home.

Meanwhile, in Murfreesboro, Scarlett Renee Comer was born at 6:53 AM at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Scarlett is the Ascension Saint Thomas system’s second baby of the day (following Tripp) and the Murfreesboro hospital’s first baby of 2021. Pictured below, Scarlett is 19 1/2 inches long and 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Her mom Krissy and dad Bruce are residents of Mount Juliet.
