Shooting Investigation 18-16904

On Thursday, August 2, 2018, at approximately 11:30 PM, Murfreesboro Police Officers responded to a call of a gunshots at the K building of 235 N. Rutherford Blvd. Upon arrival officers found an adult female victim inside the residence. She was treated on scene by Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department personnel and transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services.

The victim is currently listed in critical condition.

Witnesses reported three males entered the apartment, at least one displayed a handgun and demanded items from the occupants. During the apparent robbery shots were fired, one of which struck the victim causing her injuries.

This investigation is ongoing.
