Siegel Stars March Across the Nation
Siegel High School band students have spent their summers taking their craft across the nation as members in Music City Drum and Bugle Corps.
Dominic Castorino, Owen Carter, Peyton Brown, and Will Bell traded the comforts of their home in May for a gym floor as a bed and days spent entirely outside. The corps spent several weeks learning a complicated marching show, complete with music, visuals, running, and dance work–all to be done in perfect time. After learning the show, Castorino, Carter, Brown, Bell, and the rest of the corps traveled by charter buses and began taking their show around the country. The members not only performed their show each night but spent their days changing and perfecting their production.
The corps ends their nation-wide tour the weekend of August 9th at the Drum Corps International Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. After the members perform their last show, they will pack up, drive from Indianapolis to Murfreesboro, and become normal high school students the following Monday. These leaders in the Siegel High School community have left a national legacy of excellence and pave the way for more students to march in Drum Corps International.
