SRO arrested for public intoxication
UPDATE:
School Resource Officer Daniel Thomas resigned in lieu of being terminated.
A Rutherford County school resource officer was charged with public intoxication Wednesday by Murfreesboro Police.
SRO Daniel Thomas is assigned to Holloway High School.
Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh said Thomas was placed on administrative leave after the arrest. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
Thomas was booked into Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and was released on $250 bond. A hearing is set Jan. 24 in General Sessions Court.
