A Suspect Wanted for Felony Sale of Cocaine was Apprehended

A suspect wanted for felony sale of cocaine was apprehended after sheriff’s narcotics detectives and Murfreesboro Police’s Directed Patrol located him Friday outside a Medical Center Parkway business, a sheriff’s supervisor said Tuesday.

Suspect Orlando Chesterfield, 37, of North Academy Street in Murfreesboro was arrested after narcotics detectives did surveillance on the business, said Sheriff’s Narcotics Detective Sgt. Will Holton.

“A search of his person revealed approximately an ounce of crack cocaine, one ounce of heroin and various prescription narcotics,” Holton said.

After receiving information about Chesterfield’s location, Narcotics Detectives requested assistance from Murfreesboro Police’s Directed Patrol. They arrested Chesterfield.

Chesterfield was charged with felony possession of crack cocaine, felony possession of heroin and additional drug charges by Murfreesboro Police. He is being held on $67,000 bond at Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. A hearing is set Aug. 8 in General Sessions Court.
