3rd Graders in Mr. Thomas’ class at Siegel Elementary have been earning “belts” for multiplication facts. Students who earned all their belts met with Bill Taylor from Bill Taylor’s Bushido School of Karate to learn about about karate, the belt system, and then got to break a board.
Congratulations to Lane Wommack (left) and Jorge Oceguera (right) who were recently awarded their 6th and 7th degree black belts from Bill Taylor at Bill Taylor’s Bushido School of Karate and now have their ranks recognized by the PKA (Professional Karate Association).
The Bushido School of Karate awarded over $5000 in scholarships last night to kids who earned them through tournament competition during the 2021 season.
